Dear fellow Believers,
We are fast coming to the conclusion of a very successful 2023 for both the Believers Concert Band and Southern Journey Big Band. As required by our Bylaws, we hold our Annual General Meeting of the Band membership this time each year. The purpose of the meeting is to present a Yearly Financial Report and elect the 2024 officers for next year’s Board. The Annual General Meeting will be the first order of business at the beginning of this coming Monday’s (Dec. 4th) rehearsal. The officers for the 2024 Believers Band Board will be:
- President – Bill Timpone
- Vice President – Val Schmid
- Treasurer – Jody Sanders
- Secretary – Betty Foster
The slate of 2024 officers will be presented to the membership to be voted on as a group to serve one year terms. If you are a member of either band and cannot be present for Monday’s meeting there is still a way for you to vote if desired. You can email our Board Secretary, Betty Foster (frhs64-times@yahoo.com), with your Yes or No vote. Your vote must be received no later than December 4th.
The Board wishes to thank all of you for the time and musical talent that each of you has dedicated to our group. We look forward to continuing our fellowship together as we bring entertainment and cultural enrichment to our community.
