Nov. 8, 2019

Dear Band:

There is a reason that we have dress rehearsals in our concert space.  It sounds different.  It looks different.  It feels different.  Tuesday was our opportunity to adapt to these changes.  It took us a minute, but we did adapt and by the end of rehearsal, we sounded like the group I know we can be.  Be prepared for Sunday’s warm-up.  It will be sunny.  Bring sunglasses and stand lights. Watch.  Be confident.  This will be a celebration, a fitting salute to our military veterans!

Concert dress will be our formal black:

Gentlemen – Black tux, white shirt and black bow tie

            Ladies – All black

This is the schedule for Sunday:

12:30 pm – Set-up chairs and stands in sanctuary and choir room.

1:30 pm – Warm-up in sanctuary – Just to get comfortable with the hall.

Each piece: beginning, end and transitions.

2:15 pm – Move into the choir room and get changed

2:45 pm – Finish warm-up, tune in choir room (bring music stands)

2:50 pm – Pray and Enter sanctuary

3:00 pm – Concert begins.

            4:30 pm – End concert

Please help put everything away (chairs, stands and percussion)

Here is the order for the concert (with recordings to practice with):
