Dear Band,
I am honored and excited to be the new director of the Believers Concert Band. I look forward to getting to know all of you better as we prepare and share music with the Gainesville community.
Thank you for a super rehearsal last night! I am looking forward to the “Jingle Mingle” this Thursday. Here are the details:
- Dress in your most festive Christmas wear – decorate your instruments and have fun making music!
- Parking is available in the parking garage on Main Street SW as well as two parking lots closer to Jesse Jewel.
- Early set-up – arrive around 4:00 – The Main Street Market, 118 Main Street SW, Gainesville, GA 30501 – Larry will be there to facilitate the set up. Please come and help if possible. I will get there as soon as I can (3:30 I will leave from Rabun Gap Nacoochee School).
- 5:30 – Everyone should be there. Please bring a music stand, instrument and the following music (in numerical order):

- 6:45-7:15 – Eat and Lighting of the “Big Chicken” ceremony
- 7:15-8:00 – Play second set
- 8:00 – Pack-up, try to help put the market back together, and go to Robert Cutting, Jr’s house and have more fun!
I want to thank the band for voting and the Executive Board for being willing to remain in place for the coming year (2018). They are President, Larry Preiss; Vice-President, Jill Momper; Secretary, Sandy Blankenship; Treasurer, Warren Almond. I look forward to working with them to guide the Believers Band for an awesome 2018. Also, the band voted to adopt the bylaws that are on the website’s Members Only page under the Music Library link.
