Dear Band,

What an awesome concert! We had 475 in the audience, 58 band members and 33 dancers! I hope that you are
as pleased as I am. I have heard many wonderful comments!

It has been a very busy several weeks. I have not made as much progress on the next concert as I would like.
We have made the decision to cancel rehearsal on Monday, March 4. I will send out a list of music to print and
we will rehearse on March 11 at our regular time.

Thursday, February 29th, the Banks County High School Symphonic Band, under my direction, performed at the
Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) District 14 Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE). I am
pleased to announce that we received Straight Superior ratings and all A’s in the musical subcategories. This is
the highest rating possible and I am extremely proud of the BCHS Symphonic Band members.

The Southern Journey Big Band will be performing at Pearce Auditorium as a part of the “Brenau Music Radio
Hour,” March 9th at 7:00 pm. We would love to have our band members in attendance to support the Southern
Journey Big Band at this free concert!!
