Dear Believers, 

John Laforge expressed his thanks to everyone in the band for being part of the patriotic celebration at GFUMC. John and I thought that last night’s rehearsal went very well. We still have several things to clean-up, but we are confident the concert is going to be a great success!

Please remember to enter the church through the Music Wing Doors tomorrow night! The main church doors will remain locked. The church is trying to be more rigorous in its security and has requested that we limit where and when we enter for rehearsals. The music wing doors will be unlocked starting at 6:00 pm since the band call time is 6:30 pm. The doors will be locked at 7:15 pm.  I will be there around 5:00 pm and if you arrive early, you are welcome to call me at 770-364-5442 and I will let you in. 

On Sunday, remember to park on the side or rear of the building and reserve the main lot for concert goers. The Music Wing doors will be open 30 minutes prior to the call time. The side door to the right of the chapel entrance will also be open and allow everyone to enter through the courtyard if they wish.

Here is the schedule for the rest of the week:

  • Wednesday, June 22 – from 6:30 – 8:30 pm – GFUMC Sanctuary 
    • 6:30-7:15 pm – Believers Band Warm-up and short rehearsal
    • 7:15-8:30 pm – dress/tech rehearsal with the GFUMC Choir and tech crew
  • Sunday, June 26 – Patriotic Concert!! – park in the side and back lots!
    • 2:00 pm – Music Wing Doors will be unlocked – set-up chairs, stands and percussion equipment – store cases etc. in room N-110
    • 2:30-3:15 pm – warm-up, etc… 
    • 3:15-3:55 pm – break, dress, don’t go into the choir room until after 3:30 pm, relax in rooms N-119 and N-120, etc…
    • 3:55 pm – Be in your seats, ready for the concert
    • 4:00 pm – Performance
    • 5:00pmish – After performance – clean up, etc…
