Dear Band:

We are going to have a very fine concert on the 25th. The rehearsal Tuesday was very good. John was pleased with the improvement over the previous week. He mentioned to the choir how well we are doing at their rehearsal on Wednesday. So please keep up the good work.

Next Tuesday, June 13th will be our last rehearsal before the choir joins us at the following Tuesday rehearsal on June 20th. So please spend some time this week on the music. Once the choir joins us, we will have limited time to stop and work on band only issues. Next Tuesday need to be as performance ready as possible.

It has come to my attention that my previous message may not have reached all band members. So let me say again that there has been too much talking during rehearsal. As a courtesy to John (and any director), please exercise good rehearsal etiquette and not talk while rehearsing a piece. Talking is disruptive, disrespectful, and waste time. Thank you.

As I mentioned at rehearsal this week, there is a new link on our webpage that contains a draft of the Believer Concert Band Bylaws. Please access the Members Only section and review this draft. We will take a few minutes at this Tuesday’s rehearsal to discuss and answer any questions you may have. At our rehearsal on the June 20th, we will have a vote on approving these Bylaws. Thanks to Jerry Butler, Pam Neukum, and Bill Timpone for their work on putting these Bylaws together.
