Dear Band:

Thank you for a very good rehearsal Tuesday. I was happy with how well we are doing with some very difficult music. I talked to John yesterday and he was very pleased also with where we are with the music BUT … there was entirely too much talking during the rehearsal. I know you are talking about the music but “you don’t realize how loud you are” (those are his words). So please use your best rehearsal etiquette and limit your talking and realize that you are disrupting others that are trying to listen to the director. Thank you.

I have heard from several band members that will be unable to make the concert on June 25th for various reasons. We have several sections that will be short of members so please let me know if you will not be able to play on the 25th so we can make other arrangements. Your commitment is never taken for granted and I appreciate what you do. Just 4 more rehearsals and we will be taking a well-deserved break for the summer. Please make every effort to attend the remaining 4 rehearsals. Remember that we have two rehearsals the week before the concert: Tuesday, June 20 and Wednesday, June 21.
