Dear Band:

Thank you for a wonderful job this past fall!  The Lakeside Service, Veteran’s performances and the Jingle Mingle were entertaining and fun.  You were a blessing to me and to all who heard you.

This Tuesday, January 8th, we will start working on music for our March 17th St. Patrick’s Day Concert featuring some wonderful Irish music.

“How’s the craic?” (pronounced “crack”) is an Irish saying defined as fun or enjoyment, and it can substitute for “How are you?” A typical response is “divil a bit,” which means “not much.”  I hope you all are well and I look forward to seeing you at rehearsal!

We have very few Irish pieces in our library so Tuesday, we will be sight-reading some new music.

The concert repertoire will be chosen from the following (and maybe one or two others):
Current library:

New stuff – most should be at the first rehearsal:

Don’t forget to invite new players to join the group.  As the Irish say, “Two people shorten the road!”  Bring your St. Patrick’s Day ideas on Tuesday and be ready for a great rehearsal!

May the road rise up to meet you!
