Dear Band,
Another nice rehearsal. I appreciate the effort everyone is making to play well and to let me know when you cannot make rehearsals. Last week I thought that things could be a little weak on the trumpet side with just three trumpets at rehearsal, but that was not the case. Lynn, Doug and Bill came through beautifully! Thanks, guys and nice solo Lynn.
Next week I would like to have sectional rehearsal from 6:00 – 6:30. Flutes and Clarinets will meet in the large room around the second corner from the music entrance and trumpets in the hand bell room. All other players, please meet in the choir room.
Following is a list of songs that I am considering for the “Honored and Never Forgotten” Veterans Concert, on Sunday afternoon, November 6, at 3:00 PM. Please add the songs listed in red to the music you bring to all rehearsals. I will probably cut two songs from this list.
Please check your calendars to see if you are available to play for worship service on Sunday morning, December 18, in the Sanctuary at 8:30 and 10:55. I would like to get a commitment at rehearsal Tuesday.
The next few weeks might seem laid back but we have a lot to plan for including the Veterans Concert on November 6, Jingle Mingle, November 17, possibly Christmas Is One Language, December 4, possible worship service December 18.
Thank you for all you do. I look forward to seeing you Tuesday.
