Dear Band,
Following are some key points for you to think about.
We have four rehearsals remaining until the concert. Most of the selections are coming along nicely. At our next rehearsal, we will concentrate on 546 Servicemen on Parade, 642 The Whistler and His Dog, 470 Victory at Sea and 112 Beach Boys on Stage and also work on other selections.
Just as a reminder, the concert is on Sunday afternoon, November 6, at 3:00 PM. Concert black will be the dress for the concert. Call time is 2:00 PM. If you cannot make this concert PLEASE let me know ASAP. Thank you.
Band Party sign up – Jody (French horn) and Barry Sanders, with RE/MAX Advanced, have donated a fantastic party and venue to the band to take place after the Veterans Concert. The party is for 100 guests ( band members and their guest), at Elachee Nature Science Center, with a $700 catering allowance, a photo booth for four hours and Mary Jennings, a pop/rock singer/songwriter/pianist who has been touring the nation for years will also perform. We need to get a good count of who is planning to come. PLEASE sign up at rehearsal Tuesday if you plan to attend the party.
December 18, Worship service – If there is any way we can play for this worship service, I would like to. Would you please check your calendar and sign up with your availability at Tuesday’s rehearsal. Please sign up either way,
Jingle Mingle, November 17. We have not been invited yet, but I feel confident we will be. Please let me know ASAP, if you cannot participate for that outing.
CD extra copies – The CD’s should be in sometime this week. Please sign up if you want more than your personal copy.
Percussionists, if you need help making your music please let me or Parker know.
No rehearsal Tuesday, November 22!
Bob Dillon, Alto Sax player, told me last Tuesday about his upcoming surgery but didn’t want me to say anything while he was around. He has scheduled his surgery, see his note. Please keep him in your prayers.
From Bob Dillon – “Ok I finally know what’s going to happen. The Real surgery will be Tuesday morning. Dr. said plan on 4 days in the hospital. If that is so, then home sometime on Saturday?! Prior to that there will be an exploratory colonoscopy on Monday around 1pm. (So Dr. can plan the exact operation). ”
WOW! That was a lot! Please mark your calendars and let me know your plans at Tuesday’s rehearsal.
Thank You,
Richard
