Dear Band,
I hope that you are enjoying the time off from rehearsals. Just a reminder that it is about time to start thinking about where you may have left your horn and do some lip drills to get back in shape. We will start back to rehearsal on August 12, at 6:00. We are scheduled to participate in the Lakeside Worship Service on Sunday, September 14, and the Veterans Concert is Sunday afternoon, November 9.
A list of music for August and September is listed below. Please check your music to see what selections you need. Parker has the new music loaded on our web site. We will have a couple more NEW selections on the web soon.
Speaking of Parker, he was riding his motorcycle last week and while stopping at Publix, the bike fell over and broke a bone in his foot. He will be on crutches and can’t drive for 6 more weeks, 770-534-0436 or phender@bellsouth.net
When we return to rehearsal I want to discuss with you a “recruiting plan” that the Board has been working on over the vacation. They have come up with some tools that we might use to help, but the bottom line is “us”. Please keep an ear open for prospective band members.
