Good Morning,
I hope all of you have survived the cold and the wind with no broken bones or frozen water pipes.
Just a note in our thinking about calling off rehearsal – we just felt like the weather could cause some problems with falling or even some black ice after rehearsal so it would be better to be safe than sorry. I was glad to see that the email blast worked so well. Please remember to check our web site in bad weather situations. It looks like we might have some bad weather early next week so be prepared. By the way – please send me a “heads up” if you cannot make rehearsal.
Now about next week’s rehearsal, next Tuesday will be the last “sight reading” rehearsal we will have for awhile. Starting February 23, we will start concentration on the music for the Spring Concert on Sunday afternoon, April 17. It has been refreshing and fun playing a lot of different music. Below is the music that I would like to rehearse February 16.
Valentines Dance – don’t forget that the Jazz Band will be playing a “FREE” dance Friday evening – music starts at 6:45. We will have tables for eight, with table clothes and toe tapping music for you to enjoy and dance to. If you haven’t heard the Jazz Band lately you need to stop by – they are really GREAT! Michelle Martin will be our vocalist for the dance.
Be safe and stay warm.
Richard
