Dear Believers Concert Band,
Let’s rehearse! I can’t wait to see you and hear what I know will be some terrific sounds. I hope you remember where you left your horn and which end to blow!
I appreciate your replies to my email. WE WILL PLAY AT LAKESIDE, SEPTEMBER 11! We will play some easier music that we should be able to play well with only one rehearsal, if necessary. Please see the music list below.
Our first rehearsal will be Tuesday, August 30, beginning at 6:00 PM. If you can arrive a few minutes early to have some “Meet and Greet Time”, it could be fun to catch up with each other and to meet some of the new players. Please note that we will notspend the entire rehearsal on the September 11 music. The rehearsal will also include sight reading new songs in addition to the Lakeside music. Thanks to Parker Henderson, all of the new music is on the web, ready for you to download. – Thanks, Parker!
Dianasue, Larry and I met over the break and have a couple twists to add to our warm ups. Please make sure to bring a copy of 004, Basic Band Warm-up to rehearsal. We will do more than the Bb exercise, that many of you have memorized. One of the key points for band improvement this year will be working on our listening skills, balance and blending.

Thank you for your service and sharing your talents. I will read some of the “Thank You” cards and emails from the Patriotic Concert and the Cowboy Concert when we get together. The church and the community appreciate what we do. I particularly enjoy preparing and performing the Veterans Concert, – it is deeply appreciated by all who attend.
