Hi Believers!
Richard Hunt just sent me the following message about Jerry Volante:
“Jerry had a stroke yesterday and spent the night in the hospital. He is home now and doing ok but is scheduled for carotid artery surgery Wednesday. He said he won’t be playing for a while.”
Please keep Jerry in your prayers.
Last Monday’s rehearsal went very well. We had two pieces that need some individual and group practice/attention – Just a Closer Walk with Thee and There’s Power in the Blood. Please take some time to work on these pieces before tomorrow night.
We invite you to volunteer to help move equipment for our rehearsal. The plan for Monday:
3:00pm Volunteers meet at GFUMC to load truck – drive to Smithgall Arts Center
4:00pm Volunteers Unload and set-up chairs, stands and percussion for rehearsal
5:30-5:45pm Members arrive (park on the street or in a nearby parking lot) and enter the venue from the West Academy Street entrance behind the Gladys Wyatt Performing Arts Pavilion – please warm-up, tune and be ready to start at 6:00pm
6-8:00pm Rehearsal – run the music (twice?)
8:00pm Store stands and percussion instruments.
