Dear Band:
I want to thank each of you for your participation in yesterday’s concert. I think each piece was performed better than at anytime we had rehearsed it. You all came together when it counted and did an outstanding job.
I think that the tribute to Richard and Rita went well despite going well off script at times. It was a pleasure working with all of the directors. They made it look and feel easy. All of you helped make the day possible but I’d like to call out Suzanne for her job as project manager, Debra for taking care of the publicity and reception slide show, the entire flute section for help with the reception, and those that helped with the setup and teardown. It was a team effort and we all should be proud of the part we played.
I’m surprised that some of you had to ask but yes, we do have a rehearsal tomorrow. We will be rehearsing music for a May 21st Lakeside service and the June 25th Patriotic Concert with the GFUMC Chancel Choir. I’m sure that the atmosphere will be more relaxed than it has been in the last few weeks. Please come if you’re in town.
There are many additional names that I could mention and I would still miss someone but please know that your contribution made yesterday a success.
Thank you.
Regards,
Larry
