Dear Band,

I am looking forward to the “Jingle Mingle” this Saturday, November 19th !!!  We have 43
players for this performance!! Here are the details:

  • Dress in your most festive Christmas-wear – decorate your instruments and music stands – have fun making music!
  • Parking is available in the parking garages.
  • Early set-up – arrive around 4:30 – The Main Street Market, 118 Main Street SW, Gainesville, GA  30501 – I will be there to facilitate the set up.  Please come and help if possible. 
  • 5:00 – Everyone should be there and warm-up.  Bring a music stand, instrument and the following music (in numerical order):

  • 5:45-6:30 – Play first set of music
  • 6:30-7:00 – Eat and enjoy performances on the stage (Food provided by Main Street Market)
  • 7:00-7:15 – The Lighting of the “Big Chicken” Ceremony/Fireworks
  • 7:15-7:45 – Play second set
  • 7:45 – Pack-up, help put the market back together.

Our rehearsal schedule for December is:

  • Monday, November 28 – Regular Rehearsal 6-8:00 pm
  • Monday, December 5 – No Rehearsal (Southern Journey Big Band Reh.)
  • Thursday, December 8 – Regular Rehearsal? 6-8:00 pm
  • Monday, December 12 – Regular Rehearsal 6-8:00 pm
  • Monday, December 19 – Regular Rehearsal 6-8:00 pm
  • Monday, December 26 & January 2 – No Rehearsal
  • Monday, January 9 – Regular Rehearsal 6-8:00 pm
