March 4, 2022

Hi Believers,

Are you ready for the big show?  The curtain is about to go up!

We have two rehearsals left before our March 13th concert – Monday, the 7th (6-8pm) and our dress rehearsal on Saturday, the 12th (1-3 pm). No special dress needed for our “dress” rehearsal by the way. Both rehearsals will be in the sanctuary. Bring stand lights in case lighting is poor.

Use this week and next to work on those personal tough spots when you practice, please. Practice playing through the entire concert (in order) to determine if you need to conserve energy (or not).

The final (I made one change since Monday) lineup of numbers for the concert is:

  • Bright Lights (763) with dancers from the Gainesville Ballet Company
  • West Side Story (500)
  • Anything Goes (765)
  • Oklahoma (17)
  • Bring Him Home (467) with Lisa Phifer
  • Fiddler on the Roof (197)
  • Singing in the Rain (761) with dancers from the Gainesville Ballet Company
  • Popular (764) with Lisa Phifer
  • On Broadway (766)

Relax and have fun with your concert dress up choices. If you have found or created an outfit that goes with a Broadway show, wear it. If you prefer, dress up as a member of the Tony Award nominees/audience including special “bling” added to your outfit (ex. bright colored ties or bow-ties with your tux, sparkle in the material or added to your clothing, jewelry, hats and so on).

The poster advertising our concert is linked. Feel free to share them with family and friends!

Please contact me if you know a photographer that might be able to take pictures during this concert.

Remember to spring forward on our concert day, Sunday, March 13th!
