We are passing along information from Richard Petty concerning a former band member.

Dear Band,

I am sorry to inform you that Bill Clements, one of the founders of the Believers Band, was moved to the Northeast Georgia Hospital hospice unit, in room 5330, yesterday.  Bill celebrated his 95^th birthday this past December.  Ron told me this morning that Bill’s systems have started shutting down.

I feel fortunate to have known him and appreciate all his support of me and for me as we built the band.  I have many fond memories of Bill, especially as my Concertmaster, telling me that, “You have talked enough.  It’s time to start playing.”  I also feel fortunate that this morning he recognized me and asked me to tell Rita hello for him. 

Please keep Bill, Jacque and their family in your thoughts and prayers.
