Dear Band:
Thank you for the hard work getting ready for the Veterans Concert. We have made excellent progress and I’m sure it will be a fine concert. I also want to thank the conductors, Dianasue, David, and Lee for helping get the pieces ready. There are also a lot of “moving parts” in this concert like, Patriot Choir, Color Guard, Announcer, Narrator, Soloist, and of course you the Band but I think it is all coming together very well. Please use the few days we have remaining to polish up a few rough spots with a little practice at home. Thanks.
For the dress rehearsal next Tuesday, Oct. 31st, please have your music in the following concert order.
161 – Washington Post March
041 – National Emblem March (starting at Rehearsal “G” to the end)
657 – The Patriot
468 – The Battle Cry of Freedom
109 – Shenandoah
547 – The Blue and the Gray
570 – Call to Victory
656 – From Sea to Shining Sea
658 – The Homefront
461 – Midway March
666 – The Greatest Generation
416 – Stars and Stripes Forever (Encore)
My goal for the dress rehearsal is to go through the music in concert order with as little interruption as possible. Please be prepared to stay a little longer than normal (about 15 minutes) if necessary. We’ll do our best to get you out on time.
If I could get 2 -3 people to help me set up the chairs and stands in the sanctuary Tuesday morning around 10:00 AM it would be much appreciated.
Thank you again for your efforts and looking forward to seeing you next Tuesday.
Regards,
Larry
