The band has grown in talent and repertoire over the past twenty two years. 

Our Artistic Director, David Arvold continues to “mix things up” with new themes and music for our concerts. We look forward to seeing you at each of these events.

Best of the Wild West!

February 23, 2025 – 4 pm – Gainesville First United Methodist Church

Hitch up your wagons!  Saddle up your horses!  You won’t want to miss “The Best of the Wild West!”.  The Believers Concert Band’s next performance celebrates all things western – the ranches, the hoedowns, the bandanas, cowboy boots and jeans!  Join us and the Gainesville Ballet Company as we admire the Yellow Rose of Texas, wade in the Shenandoah River, dance throughout Oklahoma, and charge across the Ponderosa!

Wear your favorite Western attire or come as you are, but plan on an afternoon of toe tappin’ and havin’ yourself a gallopin’ good time! 

BRENAU MUSIC RADIO HOUR

March 8, 2025 – 7 pm – Pearce Auditorium 202 Boulevard NE Gainesville, GA

Join our own Southern Journey Big Band on March 8, 2025 at 7:00 PM in the historic Pearce Auditorium at Brenau University for an evening of American Music of the Big Band era in a program called the BRENAU MUSIC RADIO HOUR.

The band, led by Dianasue Walton, will display their talent and join with those of some of Brenau’s music majors and faculty to provide a fun evening of music including favorites like Caravan, In the Mood, and Sing, Sing, Sing.

This program is FREE and open to the public. Come join us.

Music Across the Radio Dial

April 27, 2025 – 4 pm – Gainesville First United Methodist Church

Join the Believers Concert Band in our journey across the radio dial as we tune into stations to sample popular music spanning the decades.  Our program will feature Classical, Latin, Big Band, Country, Rock, Pop, and Great American Songbook selections.  We will be joined by talented vocalists Lisa Phifer and Paul Lynch for our travel back in time, so bring a friend and come experience music as you would have heard it over the radio.
