Good Afternoon Believers Concert Band,
Thank You for a FANTASTIC first rehearsal – we had fun, played well and met some new players. Like I told John, every new player contributed! This should be a fantastic season.
A few points before the Labor Day weekend.
We will play for Lakeside Worship Service, Sunday Morning, September 11. WE WILL PLAY RAIN OR SHINE. Please bring your own stands in case of rain and we have to move inside.
Please, if at all possible, plan on meeting a little before 8:00 AM because I want to take the Timpani and the trap set to Lakeside. I would like to play at 8:15, if possible.
Below is a list of the Lakeside Worship Service songs (Please note that I have added some new songs).
We will wear the blue band shirts and kaki trousers, skirts or shorts. Rita will have the new shirts at rehearsal Tuesday, September 6. Please come to rehearsal a few minutes early if you need a shirt, $24.00 each.
We may be in the sun so bring your visors, caps and sunglasses.
Please check your calendar to see if you can possibly make this service – we need all the players we can muster.
I would like to extend this coming rehearsal by an extra 15 minutes if at all possible, I have lot to cover. Thank You!
I would like to extend a BIG welcome to all of the new players Beverly Freeman – Alto Sax, Erin Giove – French Horn, Bruce Cattanach – Percussion and Steve Giove – Percussion. It was also good to have Jonathan Inman back in the trumpet section. Next week we should have a new bassoon player, clarinet player and possibly an Alto Sax and percussionist.
If you can get to rehearsal a few minutes early, please try an welcome the new players.
It is my pleasure directing such a fine band. I hope you have a safe weekend.
