Dear Believers Band,
Our “To Honor and Never Forget Veterans Concert” will be presented in a little different way this year. Because this coming December 7, 2016 will be the seventy fifth anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor and America’s entry into WW II. We will be featuring patriotic music about this period of our nation’s history. The tentative song order is listed below.
We have two rehearsals plus the dress rehearsal remaining before the concert on Sunday, November 6, at 3:00 PM. NOW IS THE TIME TO TELL ME IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PLAY IN THE CONCERT. Please make every effort to play in this concert. Patriotic music needs to have a well balanced ensemble full of gusto and spirit.
Please plan on staying a few minutes longer for the next three rehearsals. Thank You!
Note: I would like to play The Whistler and his Dog, if there is any way we can do it. Whistler will be the first song we work on at rehearsal Tuesday. Please practice measures 22 – 46 before Tuesday, if you have time. I have a failsafe ending prepared. (hopefully!!!!!)
I am concerned about the audience. If you can make a concentrated effort to call some friends to get them to attend the concert, it will make for a better concert playing to a full house.
I look forward to November 6.
